Capra aegagrus hircus AKA , my new found farm friend!

Its official. As of the end of the week, I will be the proud owner of a small herd of Pygora goats. The pygora is a breed that originated in the US after crossing the African Pygmy and the Angora, the goat responsible for mohair. What came from the pairing is a smaller breed of goat producing any combination of 3 different types of fleece. My new babies produce type B.

I am thrilled about the purchase and can't wait for them to get here! Two does, twins, a wether, the nuetered son of one of the twins, and a Nigerian Buck (NOT a pygora and therefore no fleece).

In other news: Braves 5th birthday is Wednesday! Wow, time certainly has a way of getting away from us, doesn't it?  His party however, isn't until Sunday. So this week will be spent cleaning, building, spoiling, knitting, sewing and decorating. What an amazing week it shall be!

  1. GOATS! I LOVE GOATS! You know you'll never get rid of Victor once he finds out you have goats.
